Press Articles About Comic-Con 'Breaking Dawn' and Kristen

movies.com In the Hall H panel, you talked about how you feel that there is no bigger Twilight fan on the set than Kristen Stewart. Can you expand on that?

Condon: Right from the beginning she was a real collaborator. When I sit down with her with and a draft of the script and she says, “God I miss this part not being in,” most of the time we put it right back in. I think she never loses sight of what it was like for her the first time she read Breaking Dawn. She’s reading it as a fan, but also with the responsibility of giving and living up to what is expressed in the books about what Bella is feeling. She becomes an important voice to listen to in all of that. As I said we’d talk about it, then we’d rehearse it, then we’d block it, then we’d come to the day and we would still find some nuisances that we’d want to explore having reread it again the night before.

nymag.com It was, but "wild" doesn't even begin to cover the twists in the Twilight installment that Condon is directing, which features the year's most anticipated sex scene, a bloody vampire-baby birth, and an unlikely love story between a teenage wolf-boy and a newborn. Condon is cognizant of the pressure, especially when it comes to the coupling of Edward (Robert Pattinson) and Bella (Kristen Stewart).

"You can play with expectations, and in terms of the lovemaking, that's what I tried to do a little bit," he told Vulture. "You think you might see something, and then you get something else. I can't describe it any better than that because I don't want to give it away now, but the fact that there is such anticipation can actually let you play with it. And let's face it, it's the most intimate thing, and it all comes down to the relationship between the actors and the chemistry they have. I couldn't be luckier than to have Kristen and Rob, who are just so comfortable with each other and are able to explore that."

eonline.com "If you take the fact that everyone thinks it's a demon inside of her and everyone thinks that she shouldn't be having it and she's the only one that does, it's actually a very relatable, easy to play story," K.Stew explained to our own Ben Lyons when asked about her new maternal role in Breaking Dawn.

"Logistically speaking and getting the baby out, it took two days to shoot that. It was pretty crazy because it's really not your typical birth."

The shy star seems psyched about embracing her new role: "She's an incredible character, she's a hero. She's got an unbelievable ability to focus energy that I'm excited to play." Stewart goes on to say that her character's "just a full-on crazy, prisoner girl who has to recapture her kingdom. It's so cool." Slightly different from Disney's saved-by-the-prince version, no?

"It's hard for me to take myself out of it," Kristen dished during the Comic-Con panel. "So I've been building up to these moments for four years, and this one really is loaded with those really cathartic and powerful huge life moments."

When asked about shooting these emotionally charged scenes, Kristen added: "I had to kind of let myself realize that these moments will find themselves naturally. You have to let the moments happen. And they did."
Kristen also wisely refrained from choosing a favorite scene with her one of her strapping costars, claiming she didn't want to offend either of the boys. Instead, she opted for a scene involving her parents, Charlie and Renée. Maybe she really is Team Switzerland.

And if you're ever worrying that fame has finally caught up with Kristen, there's nothing to worry about. Her on and offscreen man, Robert Pattinson, revealed that her only "diva-ish behavior" is having a cooking channel on all the time.
As for momentos from the über-successful saga, the parting gift she took from the set was a pair of shoes from the now iconic baseball scene. And they were actually for Nikki Reed. "There is no bigger fan of Twilight than Kristen," Condon said. This, of course, caused Kristen to shy away in embarrassment before politely thanking Bill.

hollywoodcrush.mtv.com:

7:01 Rob says he'd "love" to star in another movie with Kristen.

7:00 SEX SCENES. "You just get lubed up and dive right into," Rob says. I think I just fainted.

6:45 Elizabeth was pretty impressed by Kristen's Taylor-throwing skills. Can't wait to see that one!

6:34 Josh IS so obsessed with Kristen's cooking. Apparently, Julia hasn't had Kristen's tortilla soup either.

6:28 Kristen tells Josh her most surreal filming moment was also the wedding scene. But she says it was cathartic too. She says it definitely felt "ceremonial" and "celebratorial."

6:28 Kristen says she hasn't even talked about "Snow White and the Huntsman" yet, but she's super, super excited about it. She's training and riding horses to prepare.

6:27 Kristen says that the wedding scene was her most-anticipated scene of the entire series.

6:26 Do you agree that pretty much every fan wants to see the wedding scene/dress next?

6:22 So what "Breaking Dawn" clips debuted at the Con? The first one features Jacob talking with the Cullens about Bella's need for blood. And...SQUEEEE...the second film was from the honeymoon, of Edward carrying Bella over the threshold. O.M.E.

6:21 Rob describes the baby looking like "one of those trolls on the top of your pencil." Ha!

6:21 Anamatronic, Renesmee? Weird...

6:17 Swimming with a T-shirt on, Rob? Poor form, man! Don't tease us like that!

6:16 Taylor was most nervous about filming the imprint scene. "Stop, twist and imprint," he describes it. "Your signature move," Rob chimes in.

6:14 Rob says "Breaking Dawn" is hard core and graphic. Oooh, la, la.

6:13 Kristen calls filming the wedding scene, "Secret Service-style insane." She hid her wedding dress from prying paparazzi eyes with a Volturi robe. Clever, KStew!

6:11 Taylor is also stoked for the honeymoon scene. Um, who isn't!?!

6:10 Taylor on imprinting on Renesmee: "It's tough. I think the best way is to just go off the book. I mean people ask me questions about imprinting and I just say, 'Read the book.'" Taylor added that Mackenzie Foy (who plays Renesmee) is the nicest girl and really talented. Awww...

6:07 She's got all the deets on this morning's press conference. She says Rob, Taylor and Kristen had great chemistry. (Duh!)
