Kristen Mentioned in Gerald Nicosia's 'One and only - The untold story of on the road'

Summary of the book One and Only; The Untold Story of On the Road by Gerald Nicosia and Anna Marie Santos. Kristen's portrayal of Lu Anne looks like it's going to be included in the book.

ECampusCom Beloved by both Jack Kerouac and Neal Cassady, Lu Anne Henderson’s story has never been told. Lu Anne was a beautiful 15-year-old girl in Denver in 1945 when she met Neal, a fast-talking hurricane of male sexuality and vast promises. The two married, and soon they were hanging out with a group of young would-be writers, including Jack Kerouac and Allen Ginsberg. But Neal and Jack initially didn’t like each other very much. Lu Anne taught them how to love each other — in effect, making the Beat Generation possible, as well as giving Kerouac material for one of the seminal novels of the 20th century, On the Road. One and Only traces the immense struggles of Lu Anne’s own life, which ranged from the split-up of her family to the ravages of abusive men and a late-life heroin addiction; and shows how her life forever intertwined with Jack’s and Neal’s. Lu Anne did not live to see the filming of On the Road by Walter Salles, but One and Only tells how Twilight’s Kristen Stewart, through her work with both Nicosia and Santos, came to find the key to playing Lu Anne in the film.

Update from @Erictherock Read the tweets in French at KSFranceCom
It's the adaptation of Kerouac, right? I don't know what to think but it given very desire to read finally the book.
- But that made very adaptation of a classic. We feel a certain energy in this.
- I do not have a precise memory, but I would say 2min30 easily. It's a quite rhythmic montage that reveals a lot of pictures of the film.
- Above pictures: a voice, probably the main character, who shares his view of the world.
- I seem to have seen mostly the actors and no many girls so no many Kristen Stewart.
- but I may be wrong. After 8 hours of trailers non stop, the brain begins to melt ;-)
Thanks to KSFranceCom for the translation.

@MayLisaAllocine Hello, yes we saw the trailer. The film looks really good but I believe you don't see much of Kristen. But it was just a trailer, you'll definitely see her more. Since she's an important figure of the film!

Stewart and costar Garrett watched videos and listened to old tapes of the Beats. "In the evening, we'd drink and share stories." Nicosia
"Kristen struck me as very very bright." Nicosia tells US. "Quiet but intense. She listened more than talk."

'On the Road' Update: It won't be ready for 'any fall festivals'

Variety.com via @larry411 "Like Bailey, Luddy doesn't read scripts, but he keeps in close personal touch with directors. This year he's been tracking his pal Walter Salles for "On the Road," but Salles told Luddy he's still working on the sound and won't be ready for any fall festivals."

Mad Men's Elisabeth Moss Works With Kristen in On the Road: Intimidated?

Free Image Hosting at www.ImageShack.us

Eonline.com "She's super nice," Moss told me about K.Stew at this week's Hollywood Foreign Press Association's annual grant-giving luncheon. "She's really so normal and so nice. I was probably more intimidated by Amy Adams because she's like my favorite actress in the world. So everybody was just intimidated by everybody else."

Moss insists she doesn't feel too much pressure being a part of the movie adaptation of Jack Keoruac's Beat Generation classic. "The great thing is it's not on me," she said. "You know what I mean? It's not my responsibility but who they chose to adapt it and who they chose to be in it and who they chose to direct."

Directed by Walter Salles, the indie also stars Garrett Hedlund (swoon!), Sam Riley and Kirsten Dunst, among many others.

No surprise, but Moss is psyched to see Stewart as Snow White. "I think it's perfect," she gushed. "It's a great idea. I think she's going to be great."

'On the Road' Should be a Contender: The 50 Big Films Vying for Oscar's Attention

The end of July means the start of the awards season: it's when the two big autumn film festivals – Venice and Toronto – start to announce their programmes, and when we get a first look at those movies that'll be on everyone's radar next spring. Here are our top 50 Oscar tips, ranked in order, from top to bottom. Let us know what you think, and what we've forgotten (we'll deal with documentary and foreign language films separately)

guardian Another vaguely delayed project is Walter Salles's take on the Jack Kerouac classic. Should On the Road make it into cinemas before the voting deadlines end, there could be the jangle of gongs for Salles, or cast members Kirsten Dunst, Kristen Stewart, Garrett Hedlund and Sam Riley

'On the Road' Will Be Completed By September?

Director Walter Salles has just returned from the United States. Crossed the country from one side to another with the filming of "On the Road," a film inspired by the book by Jack Kerouac. The filmmaker spoke with Glamurama and added a few stories.

* "Six years of preparation," said Waltinho, who managed to close co-production with no less than Francis Ford Coppola and the French MK2. "We crossed the USA from start to finish with a team of five people. We also went by Canada and Mexico. "Everything to cause the viewer what he calls a" sense of displacement and desire for discovery, "which follow the book by Kerouac.

* Waltinho, moreover, is not the only star of the production. In the cast are Kirsten Dunst, Amy Adams, Alice Braga, and others. The assembly must be completed in late September, and the movie hits the big screen in 2012.
