Make Up Friday - Oscars 2010

Is it Friday again? My schedule is so mixed up these days i swear i don't know which day is which. This weeks make up look is Kristens look from the Oscars 2010 in celebration of her stunning appearance last Sunday.

I want to also say as always a big thank you to @Jacksonville25 who films these tutorials and writes the how-to for you guys. If you have any Kristen make up looks you would like to see feel free to leave them in the comments box any previous ones have been noted by @Jacksonville25 and she has a schedule planned that constantly gets interuppted with all the new Kristen appearances. We will get to them, we promise! She is also interested in hearing some feedback of anyone who has tried the looks, if you have tried them could you twitpic her pretty please?

NOTE: For tutorials you do not need the exact make up @Jacksonville25 uses, similar colours from any brand you feel comfortable using will do.

Oscars 2010 How To

Urban Decay Face Primer Potion
L’Oreal True Match foundation N1
Urban Decay Eye Primer Potion
Urban Decay Shadows in “Oil Slick” and “Smog”
Urban Decay Cream Eyeliner in “Zero”
Maxfactor False Lash Effect Mascara

Face
The usual things apply here. Primer on your entire face, bar your eyelids. Even put a little on your lips if you want to apply lip gloss (which Kristen has in a light pink or clear colour). Then apply your foundation over your entire face. Now you’re ready to go on to the next step.

Eyes
Begin by applying the eye primer to your eyelid, right up to the brow bone and underneath your eye. Then, using an eye shadow brush, apply “Smog”, or any dark brown to your eyelid and line your lower lid also. Make sure this line is a thin line as this look is more exaggerated on the top lid. Make the brown very dark. It is a bit strange having such a dark colour as the base colour, but don’t be afraid to have it dark. Then clean your brush by brushing it across a tissue until very little colour is left, and smudge the colour upwards using the brush. Don’t smudge too far up your eye. You want the colour extended to just above the crease. You also want to do this for the bottom lid, but smudge the line downwards even less as this look if all about the upper lid.

Next apply “Oil Slick” or any black shadow, to your upper lid only. Make the colour as black as you can, making sure to clean the brush afterwards using the same technique as before. Then using the angling brush provided in Urban Decay’s cream eyeliner, apply a line on your upper lid. Starting at the inner corner with a thin line, gradually getting thicker as you move outwards. You can even add a small point or flick at the outer corner to take away any harsh edges. Then apply a thin line on your entire bottom lid, making sure to apply it in the inner corner.

Then apply your mascara and add a clear or light pink lip gloss and a light pink blush and your done!

Hope you enjoyed it. Thanks for watching!
