Kristen Gets 'Snow White' Leading Man: Sam Claflin

Theimproper: Kristen Stewart will have a new on-screen lover other than Robert Pattinson for the first time in her career in her new film “Snow White and the Huntsman.” Does he measure up to Rob?

Sam Claflin has been tapped to play Prince Charmant opposite Stewart, who will play Snow White, and Charlize Theron, who plays the Evil Queen, according to Deadline Hollywood.

The role of the huntsman is still up in the air but “Thor” star Chris Hemsworth has supposedly been offered the role, the Web site reported.

Hugh Jackman and Johnny Depp were also considered for the role.

Clafin is also 24, like Rob and also hails from England. He was born in Ipswich, Suffolk, a small county in western England.

Although Clafin is relatively unknown, he’s a hot commodity in Hollywood at the moment.

His breakthrough role is in Disney’s “Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides.” He plays a middling role as Philip Swift, a stalwart missionary.

His next big role is opposite Jeff Bridges and Julianne Moore in supernatural thriller “The Seventh Son.”

The Rupert Sanders-directed film departs from the familiar tale of Snow White made popular by the Disney animated classic.

Snow White lives alone in the forest, sent there by her jealous step-mother, the Evil Queen Ravenna.

Ravenna dispatches the Huntsman to kill Snow White, but he despises the queen and has pity on Snow White, whom he takes under his wing.

When she eats a poisonous apple, her childhood sweetheart Prince Charmant must kiss her to unfreeze her lips so she can drink the potion that will heal her.

She thinks she’s in love with the Huntsman, but he assures her that Prince Charmant is her one true love.
