Has life become boring in Squamish, B.C., now that the Twilight stars have left? As we reported in a previous post, fans from all the way back east flocked to the town to catch a glimpse of their favourite star, and now that everyone has dispersed, has Squamish turned back into a sleepy town?
"Same old, same old," said Liz from McDonald's. "We've always been pretty popular because of our location."
Okay.
What about Booster Juice? Has the presence of the actors helped with sales? After all, it was Boo Boo Stewart's (Seth Clearwater in Twilight) favourite juice store, and he'd often go there to quench his thirst.
"Maybe a little bit," said Heidi, the manager. "It was a bit of a hindrance at times having them here." People would wait outside and hover and they would make it difficult for other customers to get into the store, she added.
But it was nice having them here, and good for the exposure.
Sorry, Twifans.
But surely our celebrities changed things for Pepe and Gringo, a local restaurant? The Twilight stars were spotted eating there on various occasions, and fans had seen them ordering out.
"They came here a lot," a restaurant representative said.
"It was a great boost for us."
